There is a science of non verbal communication? Can we really build a taxonomy of involuntary signals? We can really associate to every non linguistic sign, produced by a poker player, a precise and unambiguous meaning? Legends of Poker say yes. Mike Caro wrote the book far more comprehensive and profound on the topic, entitled "Poker Tells": one of the sacred texts of any good poker player, a masterpiece of literature on poker.

We are in the higher spheres of the gaming world, we talk about the finest art, the most difficult peaks to climb. Believe we can control the darts of our nerves more indomitable, to bend them to our will to deception, and on the other hand think that we can understand the thoughts and emotions of others from a seemingly insignificant gesture. As scratching one's nose, bring the hand behind the head, brush an eyebrow.
Poker tell is any act or sign done by a player with which he suggests the strength or weakness of his hand. Like a mirror behind our opponent that shows his cards and tells us what should be our next move. Some tells are obvious, while others are very difficult to detect. Moreover, some of the best players are able, thanks to their experience, to give false tells.
Because the sublime poker player can measure your heartbeat.

Below there are some examples of tell (there's also one of Gus Hansen, it will be useful when you'll have him before your eyes at the green table)
